kelly's 2nd excellent adventure
today is the first time i have ever skipped a school related thing (tennis). and it feels gooooood. i am a badass.
we went to Ocean City and it was a 4 hour drive, but we kept missing the streets stupid mapquest gave us on their crappy directions. since we didn't listen to our parents and did not stay on 50 we passed through some shady places. We passed by some streets with interesting names, such as
Gay Street
Butchman Street
Hissey Street
my sister got her first ticket ever when we were driving through Delaware. the short/fat/nervous/sweaty cop "caught her going 51 in a 35 mph zone" which is total crap since seriously only 20 feet away was a 50 mph sign. i heard "are you fucking kidding me?!" repeatedly for the rest of the ride.
we got to the condo which was right on the beach, which my mom's boss was letting us borrow for the weekend. it was not a "dump" that my mom called it...it was really nice. two bedroom, two bath, kitchen, the works. and they had cable!
the beach was packed with people and little kids in the morning to early afternoon. people our age came out after 4 ish. the water was freeezing and tasted awful. i swallowed a bunch when i was trying to surf. i met this surfer boy, he was very nice (and nice looking hehe). but he kind of sucked at surfing.
surfing is a lot harder than it looks. i couldn't even stand up so i just boogie (sp?) boarded the whole time.
so here's what i propose: next summer, huge beach trip to Ocean City with everyone!! no parents though!
