i'll conform and write a late prom entry...sorry about the crappy picture quality; i found out i had my stupid camera on the LOWEST RESOLUTION POSSIBLE after prom.
I started my Saturday by waking up at around 8 WITHOUT my alarm clock and watched a little bit of Pokemon. We left and stopped at home to get some lunch. My sister and I left for the mall; I was an hour behind schedule. I sprinted to Bubbles; fortunately the guy was running behind too. I just told him to use his judgment and surprise us...probably not the best idea but oh well. My sister went and picked up the boutonniere (that is such a strange word) for me
I got home, my mom altered my dress since it was way too low and then my sister did my nails. She did my makeup. Then Pat and his entourage arrived, and I got to meet the Leong family. Then Dave, Matt, Jason, and Alex came and since none of the girls were here yet my dad put in the William Hung DVD for them to watch. I guess they liked it since they were glued to it (Will’s hot laugh!!). Apparently he is 31.
I finally came downstairs and then Kristine called me to tell me they were still at the mall getting flowers and stuff so I changed the reservation for dinner a half an hour later. The woman was kind of mad, but whatever. they arrived and we took pictures, did the flower things, the whole shebang. I went to the door to see all the girls and everyone looked so pretty!
Then it was all awkward and all since the girls were standing away from the guys…just like the movies about the 6th graders. I had to have my mom and sister help me put on 1 flower onto Alex’s lapel…just like homecoming!
Hae Sun and Pat
We lined up on the stairs
and tried to do a funny pose so Hae Sun and I did the peace signs, except she did hers for real.
We tried to do a FOB pose but no, Jason and Jackie had to ruin it by looking directly at the camera and smiling.
Then Pei and Mark arrived and we took pictures outside.
We went to Reston Towne Center and of course, Jason, Matt, Dave, Hae Sun, and Pat got lost. When we got in the table was all set up for us with the candles and stuff. All the old people were staring at us and Kristine told them it was her wedding. Jason ate dolphin and Kristine threw squash into Rita’s water. There were some Robinson kids eating behind us so alex paid Jason to go stand behind some random girl and get his picture taken with her. He bailed and the other people got mad as we all laughed at them. Mark, Rita, and I all busted out the tip calculator in our phones and we paid and left. We all stopped by Target to get tape for Jackie’s corsage and Kristine’s dress and I tried to take pictures of me and Alex in the school supply aisle but he kept closing his eyes.
Jason realized he lost his boutineer and Pat pointed out that Jason had been deflowered. Since Target didn’t have any of the tape, we hopped over to Michael’s and then we left for the Sheraton.
Alex, Jackie, and I found ourselves stuck in a traffic jam for about 30 minutes so we played the name game, the word Horse, and 20 questions to kill time. We saw the multicultural bus that wasn’t really multicultural even though Jackie was on it since she’s an African male with a mustache. Then we saw a truck with the confederate flag on the bumper that said “heritage, not prejudice” or something on it. I tried to take a pic but instead I just got windshield. We got past traffic and then I said to Alex, “Dude, you just missed the exit.” He replied with a reassuring, “that’s not good…”
Fortunately, we found our way out and we arrived late, late, late at the Sheraton...but i guess that makes us cool, yo. We were going to the parking and the neighborhood directly across from the hotel was pretty shady. I mean, there were men with bellies wearing wife beaters and holding beers in their hands as they sat on their lawn chairs on the porches. I wanted to take a picture but I was afraid we’d get shot. There were these juniors standing out side having a smoke. We got inside and saw a some people.
Beth and Hector
Catherine and me
The hotel was really nice inside, even the bathrooms were nice. Everyone looked so good! The rest of the group arrived and we went to dance. Whenever I felt bad about my crappy dancing I would just look over at ______ or ______ or _______or ______ and feel much better.
I saw Catherine and Jug
Here’s just a sample of Hae Sun’s dancing.
It was cool because everyone danced with everyone. The songs sucked (not as much as my godawful/hideous attempt at dancing), but I guess it’s probably ‘cause we arrived two and a half hours late. Just as we walked in I heard them finishing YMCA. My feet were killing me so Hae Sun and I hid our shoes under a table. I saw Alex try to attack Tom but then he just hit air and I saw him lying on the floor so I walked away. They announced Prom Court; I thought Ashok was going to win, but the people who won are nice. We waited for everyone to leave and we all took the napkins as a souvenir. Fortunately, I wasn’t sweating massively like at Homecoming where my make up had melted off.

Elly, me, hae sun
We left and ended up going the wrong way again, and I had the brilliant idea of getting on Pennsylvania avenue. We saw the signs that said Anacostia and we noticed that the capitol was getting farther and farther away; and we found ourselves in this seedy area. We turned around and found 66 and went home instead of the After Prom party. We got back to my place at around 2, well most of us. We sat around doing nothing
and we started watching Minority Report. I got a call from Kristine at around 3 saying they were still in DC. Mark, Kristine, Rita, and Pei found their way home.
Alex and Pat played cocoon together.
The end.
