'Payback is a bitch' as Neil is about to (finally) find out. I don't think I have ever read a more despicable character--he made my skin crawl. Loved the dialog (both the spoken and unspoken) between Ianto and Harry. The juxtoposition between Harry's vow 'First do no harm' and the reality of the world in which he lives where he knowingly sends/condemns people to their deaths really captures his own personal demons. I just love this story and am always happy when you update. And, to give us Ianto in a UNIT uniform AND red cap--that is the icing on a very Ianto cake. Still here and still reading.

So now that I've read it...

There's a lot of subtext in this and emotional pain. I like that Harry is able to verbalize some of it to Ianto and that Ianto doesn't blame him. Also love how torn Harry is by what he has done in the past and now to ensure the continued innocence of mankind. Love that he is nervous to meet the Doctor, since he knows he has changed and perhaps not in the way that the Doctor would like.

Ianto in this is well done. The way he reassures Harry is lovely and the knowledge that everything is grey comes through quite well.

I'm so sorry it took so long to reply to your comment but at the moment I'm working my way through an other project (RL stuff) that I need to finish and I've been a little bit MIA with writing at the mo.

Thank you, and I'll let you use your imagination on what happens to Neil!!!!

Should finish next week then I can get back to poor Ianto and the team, I think I've left them hanging too long, but they are brave boys and girls.
