Do you mean to be holding the baby on our right by the skin? It looks like the mother's fingers are under the skin, inside the head. Not how I see maggots to be...

Also, they may be maggot-babies, but I think it will be a nicer picture if the mother carries the children more like human babies...that is, unless the fly-human is actually small enough that her carrying style is okay. If one draws something like a real fly for scaling--maybe as a pet with the leash dragging on ground or something, it will give one a better sense of comfort on how the babies are being carried?

She carries them like that to convey a sense of not caring as much about their welfare as a human mother would. She's probably got a thousand more just like them, honestly. Hell, maybe she's about to eat these two.

I found a few close-ups of maggots that led me to believe there's a sort of fold at the top of their head there she could get her fingers inside, but I'll freely admit I could be totally off. This was not extraordinarily well-researched.
