Can they do this? As someone who has seen you in action at many conventions I don't understand their reasoning. I was never offended by any of your remarks and completely agree with you saying you asked questions because nobody else was. I loved Randy's comments about your hair etc. I might email Elke to question their motives. Shaking my head here. This is so hurtful to you as a fan and a paying attendee at the Cons.
Thank you for your support and kind words! I guess since the terms you have to agree to when buying a ticket state that the organizer reserves the right to refuse access, they are within their rights but I just feel that the reason behind it all is just very flimsy and even laughable. It's fine if she felt I was asking too many questions. She could have handled it differently too. She could have sent me a polite note asking me to limit my questions or something. Outright banning me was bit of an overreaction, in my opinion. I don't think the guests minded my questions, especially considering Randy was missing me in Cologne last March when they were stood on stage and no-one was asking questions. :) I do hope you don't get into trouble with Elke but I do really appreciate the support! *hugs*
It is very tempting, I can assure you. If I'll find some good offer with relatively cheap flights, might well do that. I've heard good things about your city!
Be assured it is not that you asked too many questions. Perhaps you should remember your behavior toward Elke. You cannot spit somebody in the face and expect to be welcomed with open arms.
Maybe you have some better information about why I was banned than me, then. I wrote this post based on the email I received. On my own email to Elke, I did ask her if the critique I expressed about the first Cologne convention was the reason why I was banned. She told me it wasn't and that she had taken some of my critique to heart and tried to improve things based on that. The only other contact I've had with Elke has been in Bilbao last year, where I said hello to her but received no reply back. So outside of that critique of the 2012 Cologne convention, the only behavior I've exhibited at conventions, is to ask a lot of questions from the guests, so my guess was that it had to be it then. All I had to go on was the reason stated in the email "The decision to not let you buy a ticket was made based on past behaviours exhibited at other conventions. Therefore, for the benefit of the other ticket holders, a ticket cannot be extended
