There was a similar documentary about marriages between Korean women and American GI's called "Seoul Mates." It was kinda shitty all around, because they only followed two couples. In one of the couples, the guy was a total dick and completely disrespectful to his wife's family. He bitched about the food and the noise they made in the apartment, and he pretty much spent all his spare time in the bedroom watching TV rather than trying to be social.
The other guy left the country and pretty much expected his girl to wait for him. He subsequently broke every promise regarding returning to see her. It was actually quite sad to watch her go through hoops to be with this guy who didn't seem to give a shit about her.
