Seeking Clarity...

Quite the blustery day here; the weather has warmed quite a lot, but the trees around us are still a bit foreboding and unwelcoming.  So I am inside again, working at gathering my wits, and hoping to ease out of this funk I seem to have strayed into.

I felt a similar problem last year with an unwelcoming (and decidedly icky) little wooded patch I had to walk through on my way to the sea as I walked the dogs at night. It took a lot of cautious approaches and offerings to build up some sort of relationship with the place and to feel accepted, and now I don't notice so much, though I wonder if it's a seasonal thing, that maybe the spirits are more active there at certain times of the year than others and so require a bit more attention at some seasons than others. I think a large part of the problem for me was feeling unsettled and alien to the place. I had to work for it. Everything was new, not a part of me, and I had to work to make it so, to be accepted...Then again, there are some places that are just Blair Witch, and no amount of work will build a rapport
