Hills, Valleys & a Rock in my Mouth

...a recent photo... *just kidding*

Though sometimes I feel that way, certainly.  It's funny, the things the body does, after giving birth to children.  At any rate, though I'm loathe to admit it when I'm dressing in the morning, sometimes I'm quite glad that I've taken on these extra hills and valleys if only because I remind myself now of my most ( Read more... )

Your post has brought tears to my eyes. Luckily I work by myself so no one else knows. Except you, and our friends.

I too love what I call pre-historic people (history doesn't catalogue them even though they surely had history). They were us. Our genetics are theirs, our brains and emotions theirs as well. Culture is just an overlay.

I had to take a day to sort of compose myself, as your post brought me to tears as well; this is the soft, fleshy heart of what I think many Reconstructionists set out to do, but then get diverted by... Other stuff. Your analysis also has the intelligence that much Neo-Paganism does not. Well done!

I may have to request a local stone in my mouth too - the responsible party should grab a white quartz from my yard or my parents' yard.

I love how your mind processes this stuff - it's so interesting to read.
