I decided to do a little re-reading last night and, to my befuddlement, Moffat most certainly goes into great detail about the Celts... just not the detail I was hoping for, or expecting after his other chapters.

I finally finished the book last night to the swan-song of "...and the rest is the story of where Scotland began." sigh. It's one of those books I hate to part with (...the library is fairly demanding it back). But I think I'll return to it again later with a better knowledge of Scottish geography.
