Make certain that you have documentation of every call that she has made to both of you and A's parents. It may come up in the future.

I am assuming this lawsuit has been filed in small claims court. Besides documenting calls, make sure you save copies of every piece of correspondence. If collecting becomes a pain, you can always turn them over to a collections agency, who will get a cut of your take.

Sounds like an interesting case. Did you have an attorney?

no we didn't, we did have a family member helping us out, and we have some friends in the court system giving us advise.
