I am hungry, tired and making my CV (Swiss style resume). So, I think I will be staying up all night long as sito is on the phone and I need his help with this thing. I feel like I am writing one of my school papers. It takes me 1 hour to complete 1 paragraph because I keep on changing the sentences to make them perfect. Then rereading and ( Read more... )

I can take a peek at it if you'd like, if you want a second native english speaker's eye.

Where are you going, if you don't mind me asking?

BTW, how's your German coming along? :) (mine is scheiss....still....)

Thanks for the offer but I am just trying to quickly finish it. Hopefully within half an hour or even 15min. Actually both my german and CV are quite crappy!!! Okay, okay, my german is much better than my CV...but that's a different topic. I'm going somewhere in Meilen, 15 minutes from the station. (Career counseling at the Job Information Center.)
Sorry for the sporadic answer but stephan has to do his school work now! Goodnight
I am hopefully starting a course in a few months. I'll let you know how it goes tomorrow!

When you have a chance, let me know about the course. I'm curious because I've had a hell of a time finding work - but don't qualify for RAV since I've only done freelance work (and I'm still doing it). A friend of ours was able to get German classes through RAV for free.

Good luck tomorrow!!

Well, tomorrow has passed and gone. I went to this 'thing'. It's called BIZ Meilen. Pretty much they just give you advice on what jobs might interest you and what might be available to you. It was quite helpful because I realised that I really want to be in a field where I can help people. So far I got information on Sozialpädagoge and Betagtenbetreuung (Social help for folks with disabilities and Old people). The lady also gave me a list of Language Schools in Zurich. At present I have looked into 6 of them. And Bellingua GmbH sounds pretty good with the runner up being Inlingua Sprachschule. The next course starts on January 26th. Whoa, I think I am finally excited! I would recommend going to BIZ Meilen because the first 3 appointments are for free...and it's free advice. After the 3rd then you have to pay for them but I don't know how much ( ... )
