About: In a twist to the fairy tale, the Huntsman ordered to take Snow White into the woods to be killed winds up becoming her protector and mentor in a quest to vanquish the Evil Queen.
My Thoughts: An okay film with a weak/ pathetic end. Also I don't know why I walked into this film expecting any different but boy were we focused on how important being pretty was. Also I dislike that
[Spoilers] people scarred themselves to make themselves 'ugly' they weren't even massive scars. Just a few lines. I love my scars and I actually get exited when I get a new one but what about people who have scars and don't love them? How would they feel seeing that? You're not worthy of pretty because you have a few scars? Also wow men are portrayed as bastards in this. First the King is all 'nooo my wife is dead' then 'oh hello pretty lady, I just met you but marry me maybe?' Then the Duke abandons the Princess. Later we find out the Queen is such a fucked up bitch cause a man kept replacing his wives with 'prettier, younger women.' Also her bro is a massive perv. I mean I understand that attraction does matter because it's in our genetics, survival of the fittest and all but still... That aside a meh film. Snow White is all 'I cannot kill another' later ends up going into battle and killing the Queen. Also they seemed confused with love interests. The Charming character seemed to be the obvious pick and I thought maybe the Huntsman would turn out to be him or something but nope. So we have the Huntsman and William after her. She kisses fake!Charming and then later the Huntsman's kiss awakens her. No explanation as to why Williams kiss did fuck all. Also ends with no resolution as to who gets her, if either.

The Emperor's New Groove (2000)
About: Emperor Kuzco is turned into a llama by his ex-administrator Yzma, and must now regain his throne with the help of Pacha, the gentle llama herder.
My Thoughts: Interrupting RDJ films because of all the GIFs of this that have been appearing on my dash and because it's ridiculously hilarious. Also it's a Disney film with zero romance (other than pre-established, background relationships). This film is littered with jokes, some I swear I hadn't noticed before and none of it feels forced. Found out Kuzco was voiced by David Spade who I adore in comedies which explains why Kuzco is so awesome and natural. If you haven't seen it yet, get out from under that bolder and do it.

Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)
About: A British woman is determined to improve herself while she looks for love in a year in which she keeps a personal diary.
My Thoughts: Bridget does annoy me a bit but I think the fact she seems quite real is what makes me put up with her. She makes mistakes like anyone else and they don't magically get better, she just carries on like anyone else. Life is shit and she knows it. She may get her man but it doesn't magically make her a better person or her life any easier. Also the hilarious lines do make it an easy watch.

Anastasia (1997)
About: The only surviving child of the Russian Royal Family hooks up with two con men while the undead Rasputin seeks her death.
My Thoughts: This has been my all time fave film since it came out and I'm pretty sure Dimitri was my first crush. This is pretty much up there with Mulan for me because it's about a girl, who as far as she is concerned, is nothing special. A nobody but that doesn't stop them. They go after what they want and they do what they have to to get there. They may find a man and fall for him but he doesn't treat her like a damsel in distress, nor does he win her fights for her. He stands by her and her by him. I love how stupid for each other Dimitri and Anastasia are even if they bicker half the time.
That aside, it's a gorgeous film. This was made with computer animation (on this scale) which I think at this point was fairly new. Despite this they still use traditional art in the background. The background art in France was especially beautiful.
P.S. the songs are epic too *-*

Batman Begins (2005)
About: Bruce Wayne loses his philanthropic parents to a senseless crime, and years later becomes the Batman to save the crime-ridden Gotham City on the verge of destruction by an ancient order.
My Thoughts: I love Batman, he was one of my fave superheroes as a child (still is) but this film. Nope. Bored me to death. Pretty much nothing happened in the first hour. Other than informing us he has a fear of bats, repetitively. Also no love for Rachel. Think Gordon (Oldman) was the only one I really liked in this film. I think my main issue was NO comedy. I no it's not meant to be a funny film, but one or two jokes wouldn't go a miss.

The Dark Knight (2008)
About: When Batman, Gordon and Harvey Dent launch an assault on the mob, they let the clown out of the box, the Joker, bent on turning Gotham on itself and bringing any heroes down to his level.
My Thoughts: Once again me wants comedy but whateves. Rating mainly went up for this one because there wasn't an hr of pointless crap and the Joker is awesome. Heath made him truly terrifying and I loved every second. TBH if I ever turned evil mastermind I would prob be like the Joker (or at l;east try) playing mind games with humanity, social experiments? Yes pls. Things I noticed in this: need a sexier batmobile, Batman appears to have a cold. Get the man some lemsip, Batpod? Really? and just generally D:

Role Models (2008)
About: Wild behavior forces a pair of energy drink reps to enroll in a Big Brother program.
My Thoughts: I didn't expect much of this film, I thought it'd try to hard to be funny and I'd be bored with in 5mins. The beginning was meh but I actually found it pretty hilarious and a fun watch. It had just enough plot to keep me interested. Pretty sweet too.
