On my bike ride today I decided I believe in an historical imperative. Basically, the future is set by the past and nothing we do can change it in significant ways (unless you can singlehandly prevent nuclear war and thus the eradiction of history, and i don't know if even one person can affect this for long enough). Heh. That's my philosophy almost exactly (even if I don't always follow it). I am very happy someone else out there believes it, too!
Except... we could guarantee how an individual particle moves if we could understand the rules that guide it, but, since those are far too complex for us to understand, we might as well pretend it's completely random, so it all adds up to the same thing.

(Err... you don't mind random comments from people you haven't spoken to in around a year, do you? It's summer, and friends' friends lists can be more interesting.)

I'm glad you agree with my random thoughts! It's an interesting philosophy to think about for sure.

I'm Jared Foelsch, that sophomore trombone who was in Wind/Jazz Ens. your senior year at West.
I'm not sure how much more descriptive I can be, so, if you really have no clue who I am, I forgive you.
Oh! You made a brief comment to me after this year's final concert, so I suppose it's technically only two months.
