Where did the summer go?

Seems liek just yesterday it was start of summer and end of Hockey season. Well, this weekend saw the return of the hockey season with the three boys. Fortunately it was only evaluations so I only had 3 hours of ice time with the three boys. Starting enxt weekend, it goes to 2 hours per child, plus travel time I figure I will spend at least 12 ( Read more... )

lol. I have a knee problem too that the doc calls "weekend knees" I tend to get really athletic and overdo it.

Sounds like you have a good plan for you and the boys though. Enjoy it!

your other knee is bothering you b/c it is picking up the slack from your injured knee, the torn ACL. Both knees will cause you an immense amount of pain, including chronic arthritis, if you don't take care of the problem. Eventually you will have to get that knee fixed, unless you enjoy excruciating arhtritis, prescribed narcotics for pain management, and possibly a wheelchair.
Also, your physician has the right to refuse you pain meds if you refuse to take their advice (surgery or physical therapy or both), this can be viewed as refusing treatment, and prescriptions fall under the heading of treatment
but that's my sermon for the day
hope you don't mind my two cents, =)
(oh, and neglecting the problem for an extended period of time will of course cause you to walk differently, which is why your other knee hurts, but it will also cause back pain)

it was the orthopedic surgeon who suggested the knee brace as opposed to the surgery so I am following my doctors advice

and of course I do not mind your 2 cents worth
