I got the interview! Originally it was late July. Now it's Tuesday/Wednesday. I have SO MUCH PREP to do...'recruiter homework', the whole nine yards, three pages of sample interview questions. I am so tired of getting dicked around by work. Two months of OT, then enough time without any work to mean that all those savings had to go toward household running, then enough partial work to keep the bills paid and the bank account scraping bottom (as it wasn't before, for once), then varies-by-day projects. You know, it's a fucking miracle I can do anything that's not essential, given that last year was a pretty good year for work and I made all of 22% above the Federal poverty line for a two-person household. Which wouldn't be an issue if it were doubled. -

No updates, no time. 70+ hour weeks. I have money to do stuff and no time to do it in, because I leave at 5 AM or earlier and get back at about 8 PM if I'm lucky. Weekends are playing catchup with errands where I have no time to unwind or do stuff with housemates, let alone get stuff in the mail (dammit!) or get car maintenance done ( Read more... )
