Went to Flagstaff this weekend to go snowboarding. Had a blast. I finally fucking learned how to carve on the front edge, and transition from frontside to backside. Kinda makes things a LOT easier. I was keeping up with my brother and Chip, in fact. Good times. Lots of fun. I need to get my board resurfaced before the next time I go.

I don't know what you mean by carving, but front to back transition is part of what I learned when I was out in Nagano last month. Kicks ass! I also learned how not to use my heels all the time but how to go down using the front edge of the board (straight runs and also turns) and a variety of other things, including some of that fishtail-like movement. Took me 3 days, but I taught myself a lot in those 3 days. Snowboarding is the fucking shit, no questions about it! We'll have to go boarding together sometime whenever I am in the US again.
