Nothing really important happening lately with the exception of my insomnia hitting me bad after a few good nights of sleep. I kind of was ready to kill the first person I found the other night when looking for cigarettes for a few hours. However, today I finally enjoyed my first piece of meat in a long time. you can grow more veggies per acer than pounds of moo cow.

However in order for a person to get the equivalent of values needed in B-12, iron and protein that they do from meat, it takes several different classes of veggies . If we account for the land usage in order to cultivate all what is required it probably reaches the same as for moo moo cows in terms of nutrition. Let us also not forget that if meat were to be completely replaced by vegetables in all diets we'd make the world poorer. There are several distorsions in the vegetable markets. From tariffs and subsidies (which are common to food in general) but with expansive demand in several places, to the disgusting rising price of cereals due to the stupid biofuel research. If also you take into account transportaion energy usage per weight, this industry probably has a larger effect.

I was using a standard semi-uninformed vegan argument.
Thanks for the serious response though!

We need to bio-engineer meaty plants. Preferably meaty plants that grow in nice rectangular prisms for easy stacking.
