Trust implies that you give someone a thing of value with th expectation that they wouldn't misuse it. You must do this all the time, you must trust your boss you, must trust the bus driver and you of course trust your friends by spending your time with them. There is also the trust in your head, as in you keep your guard up. This seems to be the more popular meaning.

So to be more accurate you don't willingly lower our gates for anyone unless out of necessity.

You are using the correct definition of trust, my intent was to use it in a more colloquial fashion. Implying perhaps that there are certain emotions I don't reveal for fear of them being misused. So yes, your later definition of not lowering gates except out of necessity is appropriate.

I think we are holding the wedding at Joe Gaskin's place as well as the reception. As casual as possible, B.Y.O.B. and instead of housewarming gifts and stuff we will need car repair money as I wrecked ours.
