[Hi, Kevas - guess who has been stalking areas you frequent for you? Alice is currently in the buffet, and is now making her way right towards you.]

[Uh uh no way. She makes a beeline for him, breaking into a run if she has to, and flinging her arms at him to hug him.]

[Kevas is almost at the door, about to break into a run himself, when he feels Alice throw her arms around him. The troll freezes. He's not sure what to do. Part of him wants to throw her off him and another wants to hold her and never let go. Instead he does neither and just stands there, frozen.]

[Wrapping her arms oh so firmly around him, she locks her hands together so it would at least be a trial to shake her off.]

Alice, joo should go...

[He pulls his hat down over his eyes but makes no attempt to remove her from him.]

[Her voice is firm, and she carefully edges her away around him so she's holding him from the front as opposed to latching on like a barnacle from behind.]

[Her's may be firm but Kevas' voice is anything but. Holding on as tight as she is, Alice is sure to feel his body trembling from the complete lack of nutrition.]

[She lifts her hands to cup his face, giving him a firm look.]

I am not going anywhere, Kevas. [She can feel him, and she backs up just the tiniest bit, letting her hands grip his shoulders.]

[Why will no one listen to him? Kevas throws tiny glances towards the exit. He needs to get out of here. Maybe find food somewhere else. For now though he'll just have to play along.]

[She twines an arm in his, then begins to gently guide him *away* from that door. She sees that look on your face, and she's wondering how she's going to do this without him bolting. She hates this helpless feeling inside. How is it she can battle a Jabberwocky but not be able to make him see any kind of reason?]

Will you promise not to leave me if I go an get you something to eat?

[The troll swallows a lump in his throat. This isn't going well at all. All he wants to do is get away without hurting her. Why can't he protect her without breaking her heart?]

[His reply is barely above a whisper.]

[She gestures a shaking hand to a chair, refusing to let her tears slip through. What was it Absolem had said? Ah.

"Nothing is ever accomplished with tears."

Therefore, she would not shed them. She eyes him, and lets her hands rest on her own hips in order to stop them from trembling.]

[Don't think he doesn't notice her trembling. Kevas can hear that dark voice speaking up again. He's been with her barely a few minutes and already he's making her suffer.

Kevas silently sits in the chair and stares at his feet, his mind swirling with dark thoughts.]

[She makes quick work of it, coming back over with a plate full of this, that and the other. She sets it down beside him on the table, then promptly deposits herself in his lap and wraps her arms around him again.]

I want you to know that no matter what you might think, I very much enjoy being around you and would like to continue the trend that we have started already. It would be terribly silly to stop it now, and I fully intend to continue with my ongoing friendship with you, though I confess it will be a bit more difficult if you decide to make it one-sided. I would most prefer it if you were not to leave me ever, and though I know you have little control over what the captain does, I do know you have control over that while you are here because I most certainly do. It's only logical that we continue as have have been already.

[Huh, Alice trying to use logic. She must be getting desperate. Kevas doesn't look at her and his arms hang at his sides refusing to return the hug.]
