[ Theres a muffled half sob that escapes, and she rather feels like she might never let him go.]

You are not ever allowed to do that again, do you hear me?

[Seeing her like this tells everything he's been doing the last few weeks haven't been worth it. He was supposed to protect her not put her through this torment. Guess Marco was right.]

Nevah again, I promise.

[To punctuate that he kisses her forehead.]

[She smiles faintly at that, despite her few tears.]

You...silly, insufferable, wonderful troll - why, I have half a mind to just...shake you!

[But she's laughing instead, because he's not pushing her way anymore, not trying to keep her away or avoid her.]

[The troll turned human gently wipes those tears from her eyes and smiles back at her.]

Maybe just a bit, all things considered.

[And at that, she just can't help herself - he'll get the swiftest of real kisses, because really, she's never done such a thing before!]

[Congratulations Alice, you've taken the troll completely off guard. It went so fast he's not even sure if it really happened.]

Alice...joo really be a special creature.

[Well look at that. Things just got complicated again. For now Kevas will just hold her close and keep her there.]

[Alice is good at taking people off guard. As it is, she doesn't look at all fazed by what she's just done.

If she thinks too hard about it, she herself might bolt. Best to gloss it over. That was terribly bold of her.]

I am very glad that you think that way, Kevas - I rather think the same of you. Would you like some tea? I fear it might be getting cold at this point, but I do think you'll still enjoy the brew that I've brought regardless.

[If he likes bourbon, that is. If not, ah, well. Trial and error, really.]

[Hey he's just starting to feel better. She's not allowed to go bolting off.]

Course I'll have some. Joo brought all da way ovah here aftah all.

[As long as it's alcohol he likes it. No worries Alice.]

Splendid!

[She'll release him then, and head over to the table to pour him a cup.

It's fairly strong, actually. Just like her dad liked it!]

[Kevas takes the cup and sips it.]

[He looks at the tea curiously and sips it again, smacking his lips.]

[She looks at her cup, getting her face close and peering with one eyeball.]

Why, I suspect that that just might be the case!

[Sip. Hm, yes. Definitely booze in it!]

[Kevas shakes his head and chuckles. Been a while since he's done that.]

Now dis be my kinda tea.

[He quickly downs the rest in his cup and starts pouring himself another.]

I'm certainly glad you like it, then.

[And she dips into a little curtsy, all while still cheerfully sipping away at her tea.]

[Kevas gives her a small bow in response. God it's nice to have fun again.]

[She smiles brightly at that - it's always terribly nice to hear when her tea-brewing is appreciated!]

I am certainly glad that you feel in such a way - I'd be most disappointed if you hated it, I would think.
