Anyone else seen all dis fog? It be damn near everywhere.
[Having nothing better to do he decided seeing how far this fog extended would kill some time.]
Can't even see t'roo it.
[Even with how close he's standing. His capybara doesn't seem to think that's a good idea as it stands several feet back nervously pacing back and forth.]Where da hell

You aren't wandering around in it, are you, Kevas? I can't tell overhead how far it stretches, but if it's the length of the forest, then there is some distance of it. I doubt we'd reach the end before nightfall and I'd really rather you not be lumbering about in the fog at nightfall.
[Yeah. Something about that gives her the willies, thanks.]

Not yet, but I be t'inkin' 'bout givin' it a look. Dere could be sometin' in dere Zhaneel, like a way back.
[Sorry mama gryphon but it's looking like he's going in.]

She circles around overhead and hisses softly, clearly vexed that she can't know what's in the fog and that the canopy of trees is really too thick to keep a good enough eye on Kevas for her liking.]
Hellsteeth .. Alright .. Mind your head.
[If he's right and this does lead to a way home, then it's well worth it .. but damnit, the poor gryphon really does prefer to keep her enemies below her. it allowed for dive and go, rather than ye old fashioned brawling by beak and talon.
She folds her wings and dives, limbs pulled in close to her body like the bird she is based on. When she is just over the canopy, her wings flare and she dives through an opening in the treetops, weaving carefully through the large branches. She spies Kveas a short distance from her and backwings hard enough to stir, but not diminish, the fog directly beneath her. She lands carefully, folding her wings in close as her golden eyes dart around the area.Tell me again ( ... )

Her sudden appearance doesn't bother Kevas, but it sends his already nervous capybara jumping back another few feet. Poor thing is going to have a heart attack before this is all over.]
If I had to guess, I'd say it be cuz we just be so damn charmin'.
[To prove his point Kevas flashes her charming grin.]

She chirps softly toward the startled capybara, feeling badly for startling it, but her attention is quickly to the troll standing before it. She looks to the fog around her forelegs and shivers. It's cooler down beneath the canopy, and the fog isn't doing anything to make matters warmer.
Kevas' response draws a soft chortle of amusement and she glances at him sidelong.]
I am glad to have you there to clarify that for me, Kevas.
[At his grin she rolls her eyes and moves alongside him, giving him a light shove with her shoulder.]
Haven knows what I would do without such charm in my life ..

Kevas, on the other hand, is laughing quite cheerfully despite being shoved.]
Glad to be some help. It be warmin' my heart to brighten a ladymon's life.
[Once the laughing stops, Kevas turns his attention back to the heart of the matter: the fog and just what lies beyond it.]
Now while I be glad to be havin' joor help, chargin' in dere widout a plan won't do us any good. Bein' lost in dere fuh hours on end ain't be on my to-do list.

Her golden eyes flit to Kevas as he laughs and she rolls her gaze heavenward, sighing as if she's been put upon by the heaviest burden possible.]
I served my Wing well, did I not? This is how I am to be rewarded?
[Another dramatic sigh, but the look she's now giving you is anything but burdened, Kevas, dear. She nods her beak once, shifting to look past him into the forest beyond.]
Agreed. I would much rather not have to drag you back; you;re quite large, you know.
[A look of good humor, but she is clearly thinking about the matter.]
Though I agree .. I'd much rather not find myself still wandering in here past dark. Not without some idea of where I am and where I might end up; though the former is more important than the latter for finding ones way back.

[The troll snickers and reaches over to ruffle his friend's feathers...literally.]
Likewise. I don't exactly like bein' drug 'round...unless it be aftah one helluva night of drinkin'.
[Kevas heads back to his capybara and begins rummaging around through its pack. Fortunately it doesn't run off, but it doesn't look any less nervous. Maybe he should let it have sip of rum to calm its nerves? Nah, best he save it for later.
When he returns he's holding thirty feet of rope. Not nearly as long as he would have liked but it will have to do.]
I'm gonna tie dis rope to myself and to a tree so I don't get lost. I want joo here in case anytin' goes wrong while I be in dere.
[Now once Ironhide gets here they should be ready.]

Mmm, then perhaps we should try our best to avoid such, aye?
[She watches as he moves to where his capybara is cowering, drawing out a length of rope. There is very little impressive about it, only a dozen yards in length or so.]
So .. once you reach the first tree there, you'll come back?
[Seriously, Kevas, that rope is short. She raises a feathered brow slightly, but then sobers, all teasing aside, nodding once. Watch yer back? Yes. She can handle that.]
