I don't see what's so good about Brokeback Mountain, other than the prospect of two typically fawned after male actors engaging in sexual activities. Heath Ledger is nigh incomprehensible with his mumble and cowboy drawl, and Jake Gyllenhaal seems to lack any purpose other than having gay sex with Ledger. Haha, thanks for the review. I, too, am a bit of a skeptic. It's one of those movies that is now ridiculously over-hyped, regardless of what I will eventually think of it.

Brokeback Mountain was just a love story. Simple as that. Showing how love and all that shit can affect and in this case interfere with the lives of two men. It's a tragedy, maybe. But I didn't quite feel that. It had a pretty slow pace (too slow for my liking), fairly well shot (but not as spectacular as I was expecting it to be) And yeah, I agree, Ledger's cowboy grumble thing I couldn't understand for the first half of the movie. Simply put, it was just a love story that got over-hyped by the media way too much because it was between two gay cowboys (and on top of that, starring two great, well known actors and directed by Ang Lee, who's done gay movies in the past in china as well) Despite all that, it was enjoyable and alright over all, I'm glad I got a chance to watch it.
