I just got a memory and one was attacking me. I couldn't see anything, but in the memory I heard Kazahana call it a Hollow.

I can't tell you what it looked like cause I couldn't see anything, but it attacked me and had claws and the idea was to fight it. Apparently it was kind of the norm.
