Louis Pasteur is credited with saying "Chance favors the prepared mind." which is really kind of amusing/interesting. He probably wasn't the first to say it, but he was ready to take credit for something people were willing to give him the credit for. It was almost a self fulfilling prophecy. But really I think it is a great example of knowing that you can do something, not doubting yourself, and lo and behold you can.
