There is a "Cheap Saturday" night happening in Azusa. A group of us are getting together and playing games, drinking beer and grilling some burgers. Call me and I will get you the more specifics. Both you and your friend could come. It would be great to see you and if you need a place to crash for the night we have a guest room and a couple of couches.
