I just remembered that I wanted to post about Alias. The season premiere made me cry so much. I literally wept (because I'm pathetic). I called Adrian up afterwards and he thought I meant Vaughn our friend had died and he was flipping out. Until he realized that I was talking about a TV show character and not an ACTUAL person (he was real to me

Ok, everything you just wrote = me.
I basically cried through the entire second half of the show.
And yeah, it sucks, Alias is over, but yeah I'll still be watching... probably.
I can't believe the Vaughn/Vaughn mishap! I would have been so freaked out.
But why do you think this is like Season 1? I loved S1, and I don't think this is anything like it.

I think it's like season one because the most recent episode was basically a rehash of what Syd went through when she discovered that everything Sloane had told her was a lie, except this time Sloane=Dean, SD6=The Shed and Syd=Rachel. The only difference is Rachel is reluctant whereas Syd headed straight for the real CIA. They even had the same scene where Rachel was walking into the office and everyone was passing by in slow motion and she was wondering who knew what and who was being lied to etc. Syd had that same scene in S1. Plus, new guy is probably going to be to Rachel as Vaughn was to Syd.
I really miss actual S1 Alias with Will and Francie and the whole double agent thing and I think a lot of viewers feel the same way. Which is probably why they're doing this whole rehash thing now but it just seems so pathetic. (Wow....that was harsh...I still love you Alias!! I'm still a (proud?)cardholding member of the Alias club!

Oh Laura, did you forget who you're talking to? I seriously didn't think that was at all harsh. lol.
Anyway, I hadn't seen the latest ep yet when I wrote that comment, that's why I wasn't seeing the S1 parallel. But now that I have, I def agree with you, and yeah it's lame.
Talk about jumping the shark.

Hahaha...your "lost" comment in an alias post made me think about my dad. He always watches lost and alias with me and last year when they found the hatch he goes "Rambaldi is down there" and he was so convinced that it was true! He kept looking for the Rambaldi symbol hidden somewhere. It cracks me up everytime I think of it. :)
I want to find out more about those crazy research centres on the island because that was my original hypothesis (that the island was some sort of research facility gone wrong). I think that only those in the "in group" on lost will be rescued (i.e the "others" will get all the extras) and that probably there will be another major character death this year, but I don't know if J.J will rescue them this season. Maybe they'll make a movie like they did for Gilligan's Island.

You have no idea who I am, but I recently graduated from McGill and so I found you randomly through the whole school listing thing, and I just had to write because you are the only other person I have ever met outside my group of friends that is as big an Alias fanatic as we are. That whole "this season is season 1 all over again" is the exact discussion me and my best friend had last night while watching it.

Oh Alias. Gotta love even when it is balls.

Well, when Sydney has that baby it might get better (unless Jennifer Garner leaves the series for a while, which I anticipate). Can you imagine a super spy baby? It would be just as cool as the previous super spy things: like super spy sex, super spy family outing, and super spy Francie. With a baby they could even have a super spy basonet.

It would be cool to have super spy grandparents with the super spy baby and a whole super spy family reunion.
But unfortunatly I think that where they're really going with this whole storyline is for a replacement Syd. It will probably be all about Rachel if/when JG leaves the show.
