I wouldn't say I've gone so far as to change someone's whole opinion on something. That's a little bit harder to process, I think, but I have undoubtedly encountered something that has never happened to me before

I've been born, bred, and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, and I have to comment that we could really benefit with that kind of thinking. Some people here go really out of their way to emphasize their gay pride; while I think it's great that they're proud of who they are, I also think they should go out and find other stuff to be proud of, too.

Yeah, I'm just tired of the super flamboyantly shove it in your face gay people. :/

In a way, I agree. I think that was the best way for me to connect with my co-worker. Had I have bombarded him with "gay is the way" remarks the every shift we have together, he would have been deterred from actually wanting to be friends
