Back from celebrating my friend's big 3-0 in Vegas. I had a blast. Mostly because I didn't get wasted (I was able to sustain a nice buzz through the entire time but not actually step over the line into feeling sick), saw some AWESOME shows, and only lost $10 total to the slots.

tl;dr trip post with random picture commentary )

airplanes make me sick, food, i loled, fun, i love my friends, outdoor activities!, fuck yes, vacation, pic spam

Dude I would stay at Excalibur just for the name. ♥ *W* /nerd Also I am very impressed with those ladies who can get freebies by asking nicely. :D /andbeingadorable

Those shows sound amazing. But loool I wonder about those volunteers. XD Also nomnom that hot chocolate looks good. Cold chocolate? A+ for ending the trip +$10 8D

AND I AM SURE YOU UPPED THE HOTNESS FACTOR SIGNIFICANTLY. 8D Haha, I love that non mini-skirts = turtlenecks. I thought leaving things to the imagination~~ was surely more enchanting. x)

Oh I am too. I can never get freebies from flirting, but seriously all my friend has to do is giggle and smile and bam, old men flock to her. It's kind of amazing. The problem is that it only seems to work wonders on men 40+... doesn't really help her love life. ;p

I think the show was real. It seems like there are different volunteers each night, though I suppose he could hire a bunch of people to be plants. But it seemed real enough. I would never participate though. I think they should have known they'd suffer major after show embarrassment.

Frozen white hot chocolate. It was whipped until it was a bit like frothy ice cream.
Not losing more than $100 on gambling while in Vegas is a good thing.

Girl, my friend has the boobs, other friend has the ass and I have.... bad tan lines and muffin top. Seriously, I did bring it down a little. :D
But I agree. I think one should either go with either boobs or leg. Both is too much and is hookeresque.

Looks like you had fun in Vegas. Makes me want to go now. I heard over there places may look close by on a map, but in fact they're really spread out and one has to take a taxi go get around. And the shows are awesome, and cheap too.

I've never won on slots and usually opt for Blackjack or roulette, if I can find a table where the minimum bet is $15 or less. And I still get carded every time I go while my sis, who's 3 years younger, usually doesn't.

PK is the worst way to go down, yet that's how the US beat Brazil. It's a mental game and doesn't have that much to do with skill. I guess, unlike hockey, they can't play until someone scores. That final PK was thrilling to watch, and while I'm happy for Japan I feel bad for the US.

We can go to Vegas together and you can teach me how to play the tables! :) I've heard that you can beat the house on average playing blackjack if you know what you're doing.

The strip is pretty long and we would have walked more, but it was SO HOT. We were dying. And sometimes our feet just hurt from a long day, and sometimes we had to be at places at a certain time for shows so we took a lot of cabs. I think we paid more in cab fare than on the shows!

I only got carded once while in Vegas. My other friends got carded several times. I felt like an old hag. :( Be glad you get carded! It means you look young. :D

Yeah, PK is nerve racking... I feel so bad for the players that miss because even though the team will not say they blame you, you know that deep down they'll wonder what could have been and it's their fault. Maybe it would be better for WC they should just keep adding extra time until one team is so exhausted they mess up and someone scores.

the best odds to beat the house are in craps. but you need to find a table that lets you play odds, and work the math out in your head a bit.
black jack stuff works but you need to win a couple hands in a row to start.

I don't remember losing in Blackjack; most of the time I break even. And I'm not good at it.

The pressure's on the shooter for sure. If the keeper saves it, it's great but if they don't, most people won't blame them. But it's another story for shooters - I'm sure the team won't blame them but the spectators might. I don't think it's feasible to add extra time until someone scores though, since there are so many subs, unlike hockey, where there are constant subs.
