Why?

I've done my back in. I'm 24 and I've done my back in. It took me twenty minutes to get off the bed this morning, though once I had crawled to the bathroom I did manage to pull myself up on the towel rail and stand! Woot, only half an hour to stand up ( Read more... )

Ouch ~:(

http://hcd2.bupa.co.uk/fact_sheets/html/backpain.html I'm sure it's no more useful than whatever Ruth has given you. But it's worth a shot.

How is your mum by the way? I hope she is getting better. Wish her well from me next time you see her.

My mum's much better, she's out of hospital so fingers crossed she'll be ok. It'll be a couple of months before the risk of it opening up again is gone though.

I didn't see Ruth, I called my doctor this morning, yesterday I just carried on until home time, didn't realise how bad it would be after laying still all night! So thanks for the link :)

I'm not leaning forward, I can't bend that way at all! I guess I am kinda leaning back, the doctor said not to sit I can help it, so I guess that's the sort of injury brought on by lifting things?

I've just finished the book I was reading (the last of the Twilight ones - I'm such an emo), so I'm re-reading Wee Free Men for the hundreth time now. Considering watching Firefly. Gah, most of the time I'd kill for nothing to do, but when it's forced on me I hate it!

Although I am the Queen of Back Pain, I've never foud anything more help than hot water bottles, painkillers and feet up (though mine is really low down, so elevation helps). Debbie seems to be much more helpful than me! Hope you're better by the weekend. If you're not up to driving, I could come and collect you on Saturday?

If I'm not up to driving I probably shouldn't come at all, but I might take you up on the offer if I'm feeling a bit better anyway (visions of doing it again and not being able to get back), as long as you don't mind? Would you be able to bring me back Sunday? I don't want to wreck your weekend making you drive everywhere, though you would get to see the ratties.

Well, Liam's been saying he wants a day in Harrogate for a while, and on sunday we can probably combine it with a trip to his parents, so it's all good with me! It's like I have anything else to fill my days :)

I once did my back at work picking up a box. It wasn't even heavy! It had sticky tape in it...

I was waddling like I had soiled my underwear for a few days...Didn't last long but I still get occasional twinges...
