I saw you at the library, and wanted to talk, but was very busy with patrons. Sorry. I don't know if you've heard from Ruby recently, but she will be in town on the 27th and 28th for a little bit before going back to mid michigan. She wanted to get together with you and maybe some other key-grand-rapids-folk like Geniene for a lunch or something. I'll be picking her up from the airport Sunday, and since she doesn't have a car, I'll drive her all around
( ... )
I rode a trotro for ten hours on monday to see some monkeys stealing food from a villiage; the grave sites of several moneys, a fetish priest and a fetish preistess who lived for 120 years; and the most beautiful tree I have ever seen in my life. And the tree was also a huge parasite. The day before this while I was fetching water, a mother threatened her little boy that she would give him to me if he didn't behave, and he screamed blue murder.
I guess I'm just saying it here because it's interesting and you said you needed something else to ponder. A grave yard shared by fetish priests and monkeys seems like a good thing to ponder. As for book recommendations, I'd say read 'The Good Earth' by Pearl S. Buck. And I want you to do something for me because I can't and I'm feeling saucy: Play "She's So Heavy" by the Beatles really really loud for me. I've only got a tiny pair of external speakers and they just won't do the trick.
