Invincibility

A close buddy of mine who works at Citadel Group has been warning me of the "end of the world" for over a year now. With the recession, he continues to tell me how things will probably get even worse and how we're all probably screwed. For some reason, his warnings don't have much of an effect on me. any time a misanthrope has ever made a significant decision, it's because he or she has regained hope in the constant struggle that is life. case in point, clive owen's character in "children of men," shaun in "shaun of the dead," and even luke wilson's character in "idiocracy."

change is inevitable and forced upon us at an increasingly alarming rate the older we get, and it's only the point at which we take responsibility for our own choices where we realize that's often the only real control we have in this world.
