I got the art book. It's awesome. My one regret is that they don't have turnarounds and like. Scaling sheets. HOW TALL ARE MULAN AND SHANG?
"I think we always search for who we are -- the search for self is an ever-ongoing process. The minute we find ourselves, we then question whether it's the right self. We keep changing. I think that's what makes life interesting." - pg 11, Peter Schneider.
"She gets made up like a bride to impress the Matchmaker. That doesn't work. Then she gets dressed up as a man to fit into the army. That doesn't work. It's not until she takes off all these disguises that she's able to finally win respect, defeat the villain, do everything she's wanted to do--but as herself." Rita Hsaio, pg 115.
"We chose green as a basic color for her, because she's a girl of nature, she likes to play outdoors--even though she's supposed to stay home." Chen-Yi Chang, pg 124
"This is really a story about a father and a daughter and honor--not girl meets boy and they live happily ever after." Mark Henn, pg 127
GUYS, IF ANYONE'S INTERESTED IN APPING SHANG, BUT NOT REALLY SURE, LET ME KNOW AND I'LL TYPE UP HIS SECTION. IT HAS GOOD STUFF.
