I haven't touched livejournal in ages, and feel like all those posts were just yesterday. 2015 me pretty much hasn't changed at all, and is still doing all the same things. I moved half a mile away, closer to work and the Red Line. Same job. New side projects. Still traveling. I've been to lots of really cool places since my last post: Antarctica,

I definitely feel like I was more connected to people in the 'old days' but I think it's also a function of how social media has changed. Facebook just isn't about have conversations, it's like having a bunch of acquaintances. And finding out just how racist people you used to know have become.

I think you're right. Theres like a core set of people i respond to all the time, and a bunch of ppl who FB never shows me posts from. and its not heartfelt, most of the time. lots of showoff or just reposting stuff.

If you couldn't tell, I've basically turned this into my personal journal with a loose eye toward privacy, which is why most of my posts here are friends-locked. And since most of my friends aren't active here anymore, it's basically just plain locked!

I found so much value in going back and reading old posts of mine that I decided I had to keep LJ up for myself.
