I love the idea that Loki is actually one of the fae!! It actually kind of makes a bit of sense with him being a trickster, and all. :D

In my head it made sense, at least. Glad I'm not the only one. Loki's description never seemed very giant-like to me, even though giants don't always have to look like giants and genetics is something that mythology isn't concerned with.

I always just kind of chalked it up to the fact that he was a shapeshifter, and could look any way that he wanted to, but ... I like your idea much better.

I kinda forgot to factor that shapeshifting thing in actually. Probably because I always assume that a shapeshifter often defaults to his "true form". Which might be a stupid assumption when it comes to mythology and so on, because most gods don't really have just one default form. It always depends on the source. Anyway, mythology is subjective and I like to cling to my own canon.
