In order to go to China, our passports need to be valid for 6 months after our trip.

Ours is four days less than 6 months so we have to get new passports. Oh joy.

You should apply ASAP because that process takes awhile.

We did it on Monday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, but we had to drive to the county office to get my birth certificate. They changed the law (from 14 years to 16 years to be an adult) at the beginning of the month so I had to get a children's passport.
