Adam wasn’t sure whose idea camping had been or why he had agreed to it, but he was seriously regretting his decision. Camping was not his thing, but when it was suggested he had thought why the hell not. If he could sleep on a bus for months on end, he could handle a few nights in the woods.
However, Adam complained about everything almost non-stop from the time the trip started. He was cranky and irritable and took it out on his friends. By the time they made camp, everyone was getting aggravated with Adam.
“Fucking bugs!” Adam shouted as he swatted at them.
“Here…Stand up.” Tommy told him as he showed him a can of bug repellant.
Adam did as he was told. Tommy sprayed him with the repellant. Adam smiled at him gratefully. It was the first smile all day. The blonde smiled back at him and handed him the can to spray. The singer took it and sprayed it all over Tommy as well.
With the bugs leaving him alone, Adam seemed to relax a little. The alcohol began flowing as they sat around the fire. They roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. When they were done eating, Tommy got out his guitar and they all sang. Adam was having a good time and decided that he was glad that he had come after all.
Before Adam knew it, he and Tommy were the only ones still awake. Cam, Sasha, Brooke, Allison, Taylor, and Terrence had all gone to their tents for the night. They sat in silence. Tommy poked at the fire that was slowly dying.
“I’m sorry about earlier. I was being a bit of a diva.” Adam apologized as he glanced over at Tommy.
“Yeah, you were, but that’s okay. Camping isn’t really your thing.” Tommy told him as he smiled at Adam.
“No, it’s not, but I’m having a good time now.” Adam replied.
“It’s probably a good thing that you lost the attitude. I think some of the others were plotting to murder you in your sleep.” Tommy stated with a chuckle.
“What about you…any homicidal thoughts I should know about?” Adam inquired with a laugh.
“I learned a long time ago that you’re high maintenance. I just kinda go with the flow because I know eventually you’ll calm down. It doesn’t do any good for everyone to be in a pissy mood.” Tommy explained as the last of the fire went out.
“You’re so good to me.” Adam whispered as he pulled Tommy close to him. He dropped a kiss on his cheek.
Tommy snuggled up to Adam. He loved the feeling of the singer’s arms around him. He could handle Diva Adam because he got moments like this one when the younger man was just Adam.
“I think that we should go cuddle up in our tent and you should let me fully apologize for my behavior earlier.” Adam breathed in Tommy’s ear.
“Mmm…I like the sound of that.” Tommy responded before kissing Adam’s forearm.
Once the boys were in their tent, they snuggled up together and started kissing. Things quickly heated up between the two of them. As they made love, they tried to remain as quiet as possible. They knew that the others wouldn’t like to be awakened by the sounds of sex coming from Adam and Tommy’s tent.
“I guess camping isn’t so bad after all.” Adam whispered later as they drifted off to sleep.
“Right?” Tommy replied with a snort. He knew that Adam still didn’t really care for camping. “I promise when we get back to the city you can have a spa day.”
“You really are good to me.” Adam declared before kissing Tommy’s forehead.
