I will say congratulations, but I can't help but add this, even if it seems rude;

:( honey, I'm going to be blunt, the guy you are dating is a jerk, and you can do so much better, I don't think you should be marrying him, not only because he seems like a jerk which is reason enough, but because you haven't actually been dating that long, and he is way too controlling...and a guy proposing that quickly in a relationship when he is that controlling is a sign that he is trying to find a way to control you more, so that when you are married he can say "you are my wife, you'll do as I want". I wouldn't normally say any of this except I honestly care what happens to you and I don't want to see you end up in a bad situation, and I think you're already in it and just getting in deeper.

if he's controlling run. take it from me! I wasted almost 3 yrs of my life on a controlling, abusive asshole. run run run lol. it won't ever end, it gets worse.

seriously... Megan, listen to Crystal, she knows what she's talking about. You have seen and read about what she went through, and she just finally got herself out of it after all this time. She probably wishes more than anything that she didn't wait as long as she did, that she listened sooner to what everyone was telling her. Don't waste 3 years of your life (or more) too... get out while you can, before it's too late, before it gets worse.

I do wish I hadn't wasted so much time! it doesn't get any better it gets worse. even when maybe it finally seems better, it's still not good as it could be with someone else.
