What beautiful scenery! I really miss that about Australia. I hadn't realised how much I missed gum trees until I saw these ones... The trees here are just so straight and un-chaotic.
:) Yeah, Red Hill has some amazing trees and scenery. It's no wonder the houses are so expensive there... I love gum trees. Although I do have to say, I love me some European trees as well. There's just something so beautifully... stark about the image of a 'dead' deciduous tree covered with snow. Plus they have the whole rebirth thing in spring going for them, plus the rest of the cycle of life, that you don't really get as much (in trees at least) in Australia. I do love gum trees, but (unless it's a snow gum) you cover them with snow and they just look silly.
A damning indictment, I know.
I think you should go for another walk like that first one, and post some more photos of the English countryside. This I do believe.
