Wholeheartedly LOVED this. I love that you explored Erik's discomfort at the possibility of settling down, at this semblance of encroaching peace, of having lived a life of vengeance and now there are these people, Charles, wanting to care about him, comfort him, and it just weirds him the hell out. That was something the movie skipped over, and I'm so pleased to read a well-written exploration of it. My heart aches for Erik, and for Charles, too.
