violette graziose

this is gr8. i took out all the ones that i don't care about because they don't/won't apply to me

... you begin conducting with a piece of uncooked spaghetti.

... the other members of your graduating class were freshmen when you were a senior.

... you know the entire staff of the Music Department on a first-name basis.

... the number of credits you've earned is higher than the number you get when you add up the ages of everyone in your immediate family -- and you're still not close to graduating!

... getting to sleep is an exciting event that you look forward to all day long.

... you can sing Beethoven's entire Fifth Symphony.

... you can sing all of ANY symphony!

... the fire alarm in your dorm goes off and you pass the time spent waiting outside trying to figure out what pitch it was -- and as soon as you get back in your room you use a keyboard to check and see if you were right.

... you find yourself conducting in public places.

... people in your dorm refer to you as "that guy/girl who's always running out of here dressed entirely in black."

... you set a time in your schedule for checking your mail.

... you spend more time in the Music Department than you do in your dorm/apartment.

... you arrive at the Music Department when it opens and don’t leave until the building monitor kicks you out.

... you see the Music Department building monitor more than your roommate.

... you can describe two differences between opera and oratorio, using the word "whereas."

... it's 9:30 p.m. and you're still in class.

... the thing you like best about your dorm is the resonance in its bathrooms.

... you try to figure out what song is printed on the cute music napkins, mugs, sweatshirts, etc. you see in stores.

... you consider 15 credits in one semester "taking a break."

... you complain about the intonation of the staff singing "Happy Birthday" at Applebee's.

... watched a movie just to listen to the music.

... you see some musicians more then your friends

there you go. that was cute.

my school is having a HYPNOTIST come on tuesday. apparently it was really funny last year so i'm going to go.

i am having a lovely time thus far. i don't have too much homework yet, all of my teachers are still nice to me and i eat a lot. also my voice lesson was moved from 4 to 1 on tuesdays! NOW I GET TO END MY DAY AT LIKE...3!

i often wonder what it is like to go to one or two classes a day and then have the rest of the day to just be, because that's what most of the girls on my hall get to do and it seems like it's fab haha. i also enjoy running around from 8:30 to 4:30 almost every day like i'm still in high school because music is sweet.

i'd also like to let everyone know that i absolutely hate singing in english. you can't do anything fun with english because english sucks. there you go.

omg does anyone know where i can steal photoshop for mac before i die because i need to make this wonderful illustration before the idea leaves my mind
