strawberries!
So, my life has basically been
of late. That, and trying to keep myself reasonably on top of the insane amount of homework uni insists on giving me. The actual tutes and lecture are enjoyable enough, but the amount I need to do between then, not even counting assignments, must violate some aspect of the UN convention. No wait...I signed up for this. I'm paying for this. And I need to feed myself. I have been losing weight like crazy because I need someone more qualified than I am to make sure I eat enough of the right things. And not break the house down - I will be leaving soon and there is so much I need to clean before then, plus the building still has to fix the toilet seat. The novelty of the uni has well and truly worn off, and I am sick of it. I remember when I enjoyed learning...sigh.
BUT, there is some good news. Monash finally came through with my scholarship, which has been officially registered on the scholarships database and I will have six thousand dollars working their way to me as of August 31st. Hooray, money! Also, my second ASG instalment came about a week ago which means $800 to go towards moving expenses.
I went a bit overboard on groceries and spent too much (wow, my life is boring) but I am getting very sick of the six meals I know how to make. All of which are various staple foods, but made really badly. Bad curry. Bad pasta. You get the idea. I make good soup though. I just wish i had an oven. :( Then I could make things like quiche. I live my life in anticipation of things like quiche. That and my scholarships.
Apparently I have been gossiped about at Monucs, which is quite funny. It's a nice change, actually.
Also, thanks to Sean, I have been playing pokemon again. Way too much.
And, to note: the strawberries here taste a hundred times better than the ones at home. I guess shipping and climate will do that to a fruit.
