My fantastic pirate of a brother-in-law is going seafaring again, this time on the Amistad. He will be gone for many a month, and will be sorely missed. He may be navigating his way through the path of a hurricane. Yikes ( Read more... )

So far, Hellcat is doing great. She's curious about the new cat, and wants to be friends. No hissing or anything!

Carlos' cat is a totally different story. She's completely freaked out to the point that she won't even let me touch her. Lots of hissing, growling and scratching. She spent the last half-hour cowering in the most secluded corner of the dining room.

Right now I've got them separated. I think it will be OK as long as I introduce them to one another gradually. If there isn't all-out war when they first meet, cats will usually learn to be friends, right?

Yay! Kitties!

Holy crap, kitty fights are frightening!lol. My friends have two kitties named Oreo and Chaplin (they dropped the Charlie and just stuck with Chaplin). Oreo's the tiny, reserved kitty who doesn't want people touching her but she's adorable. Chaplin loves everyone, but he's dumb as a brick.lol. Oreo tolerates Chaplin, though she doesn't really like him. lol. I guess one day, my friends found another cat (which me and Lady almost got, but we can't care for a cat right now), and this cat started beating the shit out of Chaplin when suddenly, a blur ran up the stairs, and Oreo literally punched the other cat in the face, and the cat didn't fuck with them anymore.lol

I guess there's an unconditional love that forms with kitties.lol
