It won't be good for gays, and a lot of other people.
I asked Rod if Trump can simply dissolve our 6 year long marriage .. He said he doesn't know.. I'm assuming the worst, and that we'll be treated as non humans, without rights... 😞
Don't be angry with me...Okay? I learned with my own family when I was very young to expect the worst ...
I hope I'll be able to cry soon, and come out of the stunned stupor to grieve, as it's a necessary part of accepting reality, embracing anger, and positioning myself for the new situation, to the extent that I can.
Saw a TikTok the other day that I can't find now with a young historian talking about how habit and practice were the distinguishing factor between which Germans were complicit and which ones hid Jews. She suggested that we practice both small acts of goodness and small acts of breaking the law, in ways that don't hurt others, just to get ourselves in the right habits. I found it comforting, someone speaking truthfully and realistically about the situation we're entering.
There was also a Guardian article I liked, for similar reasons. Maybe I'll manage to post something about those.
Remember we have many fellows who will do what we can to resist. And people abroad, particularly those who have lived under totalitarianism, can be really good to talk to.

Even if Trump dies, it will still happen. With no legislative check. A long dark time I am unlikely to live to see the end of.

was still making public posts here....
I said something like, " I fear our country may be heading into
becoming a Fascist Authoritarian Theocracy."
Several people on here told me to stop being so negative,
To stop worrying so damn much.
But even back then, the warning signs were clear.
( I found this entry recently but lost track of it, sorry.. or I'd provide
a link to it...
I'm sick at heart and I feel like crying.
