I like reading the stories at Velvet Mafia because they're good, not necessarily because they're M/M. A good writer of gay male erotica tends to leave in the sexual elements that get "fluffed" out of het erotica and het romance: the violent side of things, the biting and cutting and bruising and...you know, all those things that I love writing about. I just like writing it het-style, because contrary to what the erotic/romantic het market would have people believe, there are women who prefer to be told I love you with bruises. XD
