Heh heh! I feel for you: history of music will be sucking this week for me.

It's so hard, because I need to keep it around six pages in length. So it's just a skim, really. It took forever to write the perfect intro paragraphs for the two cultures. Of course, there are books upon books written on the subject, and a lot of it is interesting, so it's an exercise in restraint. Plus I only have a couple of days to get it done.

Oh yes! I am FOREVER wondering exactly how much detail to go into, and getting fed up with it.

You get to the point where you can sniff out a balance, but a lot of that has to do with the instructor. Some like more, some like less, some favor a dry approach to the wording, others are open to a more creative style.
