Probably not the best paper I've ever written, but don't give a sweet flying shit.

I hate to break this to you, but I reckon if you hand that in you might fail. You see, it's not a paper, it's a weird stringy thing.

You're right. My prof would be put out if I turned in my final paper knotted into a quipu. But no worries. It's printed on paper and I would never part with the quipu. ;-P

(Love the icon!)

And of its kind, it is a masterpiece!

Thank you for your iconly praise. I know that what it says will come as a surprise to you, but try not to judge me : )

Congrats and a toast to your hard work...er, I think I made one of those at Girl Scout camp. Macrame class I think.
LOL! They're pretty cool.

I just saw an article somewhere in a magazine or on line about someone getting closer to figuring out the knot code. Do you remember seeing that?

I know there's a guy at Harvard who thinks some of the knots are phonetic. The numeric knots have been deciphered, but there's academic controversy over what the colors of the strings may have meant, and whether or not the untranslatable knots represent phonemes or logograms. If they do, it would be a big deal--it would attribute written language to the Incas, and all those scholarly types in Peru would think that was just swell. ;-)
