Today, I'm officially OLD!

Yup, just call me grandma. I'm turn the ripe old age of 24 today. Seriously, I'm now in the beginning stages of my mid 20's...WTF? That is mind blowing to me. It seems like 20-23 flew by so fast! Now I'm 24 with a summa cum laude college degree but no career, with a boyfriend who I only see 4 days a month, and sadly I'm living with my parents again

Boy do I know how you feel. My sister is 22 months older than me and was engaged at 23 with a house and married at 24. But that's ok Joni. Don't look at it like you haven't done enough. You are 24 with a college degree...you're doing better than 1/2 the population there. You're not teaching not because you haven't gotten the offers but because like so many people you're not going to settle for a job that you won't like. You and Greg are making your relationship work when you're 4 hours apart....most people can't make the relationship work with the person they live with! That says a lot there. Also you can do whatever you want and don't need a reason for it. That's the beauty OF being a grown up. Hope this made you feel better and you have a happy birthday!

I think 24 is just the age of trying everything in life. Don't let chance slip through your finger. Try everything you can but just be careful. I wish I could have tried a lot of stuff when I was at your age. Now I am old and those time won't come back anymore. Although I have dreamt about doing it again, it is not easy.
