They all stared at me as if I were some sort of lunatic. But I had better things to do than to worry about what his loyalties thought about me. I stormed down the lavish halls, whispers rising to audible levels as I got closer to my destination.
How dare he.
He knew absolutely no end to his sadisms. What more could he be possible entertained by other than keeping me in this god forbidden castle. He would restrain me and starve me until I was at the steps of death, then throw a bleeding human into the room triggering me to brutally devour them. He would watch the entire time, smirking in victory. He liked watching far too much.
I shoved the double doors open without reserve causing a loud bang to echo through the halls. The servants gasped at my actions and scurried off without a second look back, afraid of the wrath that may be bought upon them. My eyes narrowed up the stairs covered in red carpet and at Fiore who was perched in his little throne at the top. On both sides of him stood burly men that were no doubt meant to intimidate whoever dared to enter without permission.
I honestly didn’t give a crap.
A pair of his followers stood with a human in their hands that were forcing him to kneel on the floor. Not a single scratch could be seen on him, which wasn’t much of a surprise, as it would most likely foil his plans to anger me.
“Ah…Fayte…I see you have decided to grace me with your presence.” Fiore looked at me with his amused eyes, challenging my temper.
“Let him go.” I said firmly, disregarding the looks that his guards were giving me. Their eyes were narrowed at my choice of tone to speak with their ‘master’. The human in their hands raised his head to look at me and turned away as soon as our eyes made contact.
Elliott.
“Is that any way to speak to your maker?” He took hold of Elliott’s jaw and turned his face towards him. “I see you’ve taken interest to this…boy.” He spat out the last word. To us, he was no doubt a child in many ways.
I couldn’t let him get hurt again. Not after what happened on that day his entire family was massacred. Fiore had planned the whole thing out the moment he found out that I had developed feelings for a human. I should’ve known better than to assume that he wouldn’t watch me like a hawk after all these decades. He honestly had nothing better to do in his pathetic rotting life.
“Tell me, Fayte…what would you do if I killed this boy in front of you?” My eyes narrowed as a dagger slipped from inside his sleeve. He pressed the blade hard enough against his skin to draw blood. The entire room froze in the moment, not a single soul dared to breathe.
