The real truth is, I was bored. Dressing in a uniform and playing with guns looked like a lot of fun. How was I to know that Bush would start a war a month later.

Ever though I was 33 when I joined up, I had a lot of fun training with 17, 18, 19 and 20 year old kids. It was like being at summer camp again. Except there is all most no sleep and Drill sergeants were always trying to PT you to death.
