Can't believe this is my ninth year of doing this! Here goes...

1. What did you do in 2011 that you'd never done before?

Went on holiday with my girlfriend's mum, sold something handmade on etsy, been the tooth fairy, rented a whole house with a garden, meal-planned for entire months at a time, made a fish pie, grew and ate vegetables in our own

Thank you for the congratations! We're spending evenings and weekends choosing venues and looking at colour schemes and all of that overwhelming wedding stuff! (I say "we" but I'm not the one with the wedding folder and forty-two wedding magazines haha!)

So does the two year countdown start from the engagement or the acquisition of a puppy? Enquiring minds need to know!

It's the pet acquisition that is key here. You may have a few months grace (we got our cats in May 09) but the end result is inevitable :D Hope the wedding planning is going well. Magazines are essential - they're so pretty and shiny! However by the time you get married you will have spent as much on them as on the wedding itself.
